Optimize your products
CataSEO rewrites your product copy using AI tuned to your store’s SEO profile. You can optimize one product at a time, or your whole catalog in batches.
Express vs Batch
Express — instant, one product at a time. You click optimize on a single product and CataSEO returns the result within a few seconds. Each express optimization consumes one Express Token.
Batch — scheduled, many products at once. Runs in the background as part of your Batch Subscription, working through your catalog automatically. Each batch optimization consumes one Batch Token from your monthly allowance.
Use express for quick edits to important listings. Use batch for catalog-wide work.
What gets optimized
On Shopify and BigCommerce, CataSEO can optimize six fields per product:
- Page title
- Meta description
- Meta keywords
- Description (long product copy)
- Open Graph title
- Open Graph description
Wix, WooCommerce, and Amazon support subsets of these fields appropriate to each platform. CataSEO automatically skips fields that don’t apply.
Where to find it
- Express: Click optimize on any product row in your product list.
- Batch: Subscribe to a Batch Plan from the Subscription & Tokens page. Once active, batch runs automatically.
What happens next
Optimized copy lands in your Awaiting Review queue — it is not immediately published. You review side-by-side and approve before anything goes live. See Review and approve optimized content.
FAQ
How long does a batch take? Most batches finish in well under an hour, but exact time depends on catalog size and the platform’s API speed. Amazon is generally the slowest because of API rate limits.
Can I pause or cancel a running batch? A self-serve cancel button isn’t available yet. Contact support if you need to stop a batch in progress.
Does optimizing a product change it on my storefront immediately? No. Optimizations go to the Awaiting Review queue. Your live storefront copy isn’t touched until you approve.
What if a product fails to optimize? The failure is logged and the batch continues. You’ll see a count of errors in the completion summary. Failed products keep their original copy.
