Connect an Amazon Seller account
CataSEO connects to Amazon through the Selling Partner API (SP-API), using Amazon’s Login with Amazon (LWA) authorization.
Before you start
You’ll need:
- An Amazon Seller Central account.
- Active registration on at least one supported marketplace.
- Admin access to authorize third-party apps on that account.
Supported marketplaces
CataSEO works with these Amazon marketplaces:
- North America — United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil
- Europe — United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands
- Asia-Pacific — Japan, Australia, India
If your marketplace isn’t listed, contact support — we add new marketplaces on request.
Authorize through Seller Central
- From your CataSEO dashboard, start the Amazon connection.
- CataSEO will redirect you to Amazon Seller Central to authorize the app.
- Select the marketplace you want to connect.
- Approve the requested permissions.
Amazon will redirect you back to CataSEO once the authorization completes.
First sync
After authorization, CataSEO imports your Amazon listings for the marketplace you connected. Amazon’s API has rate limits, so larger catalogs take longer than equivalent Shopify or Wix syncs. You can start setting up your SEO profile while the sync runs.
Troubleshooting
- “Authorization failed” — make sure you’re signed in to the Seller Central account that owns the listings you want to optimize.
- “No listings found” — verify you selected the right marketplace during authorization. Each marketplace authorizes separately.
- “Wrong marketplace selected” — disconnect and reconnect, picking the correct marketplace this time.
FAQ
Can I optimize listings across multiple marketplaces from one CataSEO account? Yes. Authorize each marketplace separately and they’ll appear as distinct stores in CataSEO.
How does CataSEO handle Amazon’s character limits and content policies? Generated copy respects Amazon’s per-field character limits. CataSEO’s prompts avoid prohibited terms, but you should still review every optimization before approval — Amazon’s policies evolve and your review is the safety net.
Does CataSEO work with Vendor Central? No, only Seller Central (third-party seller accounts).
Will optimized listings go live immediately after I approve them? CataSEO writes the updated content to Amazon as soon as you approve, but Amazon controls when the listing becomes visible to shoppers. Most updates appear within a few hours.
