Connect a Wix store
CataSEO installs as a Wix app via the Wix App Market.
Before you start
You’ll need:
- A Wix site with Wix Stores activated.
- The site owner role on that site. Only owners can install and configure CataSEO — contributors and other roles can use the app once it’s installed but can’t change settings.
Install from the Wix App Market
- Find CataSEO in the Wix App Market and click Add to Site.
- Pick the site you want to connect.
- Review the permissions and confirm the install.
Wix will load CataSEO inside your site dashboard once the install completes.
What permissions CataSEO requests
CataSEO requests access to your products via Wix Stores so it can read existing product copy and write optimized copy back after you approve it. CataSEO does not access customers, orders, or payments.
First sync
After install, CataSEO imports your Wix Stores product catalog automatically. You can start setting up your SEO profile while the sync runs.
Troubleshooting
- “App not visible in the Wix App Market” — make sure the site you’re working with has Wix Stores activated. CataSEO only appears for sites with an active store.
- “Authorization failed” — only the site owner can install. If you’re a contributor, ask the site owner to install instead.
- No products imported — give it a few minutes for larger catalogs. If still empty, see My store isn’t syncing.
FAQ
Do I pay more on Wix than on other platforms? No. CataSEO charges the same on Wix as on Shopify or BigCommerce. Studio 1119 absorbs the Wix App Market fee so prices stay consistent across platforms.
Can I disconnect and reconnect without losing my SEO profile? Yes. Your SEO profile, brand voice, language settings, and pending optimizations persist across uninstall and reinstall.
Does CataSEO work with Wix Studio? Yes, as long as the site has Wix Stores activated.
Only the owner can change settings — can a team member still review and approve optimizations? That’s a permissions decision controlled by Wix’s roles, not CataSEO. Contributors with site access can typically open the app but their ability to change settings depends on the role Wix grants them.
